Outdoor Ed for 6th Grade Students - Dates Announced
SSIMS 6th grade students will participate in Outdoor Ed program on April 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th (Monday through Thursday). There is a modified program this year, with all MCPS 6th graders visiting the Smith Center. Each group will have one extended-day field trip (approximately 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM) to the Smith Center. For the remainder of the week, students will remain at SSIMS but will access environmentally-focused lessons through their classes.
The PTSA is an important and energetic part of the SSIMS community. We're committed to supporting every student, teacher, and staff member at our school. We want every student to have all they need to thrive and succeed. Our school of approximately 1150 students is truly international: we have students from over 40 countries that attend SSIMS, and our International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program means that students learn about the world while developing critical thinking skills.
